Acknowledgement of Country

As Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people together,
let us have a sense of the importance of the country upon which we are standing,
where learning and ceremony has taken place over many thousands of years.

Let us sense the land beneath our feet and acknowledge to whom it belongs - The People,
and pay our respects to their elders and all elders, past, present and future.

Ngutana-Lui is Brisbane Catholic Education’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Studies Centre, based at Inala, and provides opportunities for students, their teachers, and people of all ages to increase their awareness, appreciation and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and spiritualities.

The aim of the Centre is to promote reconciliation through education by providing a wide range of cultural learning opportunities, aligned with the Australian Curriculum. Ngutana-Lui services are intended to supplement on-going programs and curriculum delivery in both primary and secondary schools.
